Alive as I Once Was

I thought I was going pretty hard on observational drawing and wasn't having as much fun as I used to have. I look at some of my older sketchbook and found lots of growth in movie stills. Yea, I can't use them in any portfolio, but it's way fun and it must build some kind of skill.

I was kinda though. I spent all day at work doing this and watching Inside the Actor's Studio. It's amazing how much I can relate to actors.

Here's a takeaway from Tom Hanks

"It's not your measure of who you are as an artist, but it's a measure of what you are as a professional and that's hard. There's nothing greater than saying I'm a professional actor... And I will be till the day I die."

Pigeons

My intro and outro frames have pigeons, so I'm practicing drawing them.

I'm learning rotoscoping also: pigeon in black and colored.

Update: Took Hux's advice and took away from the background near the pigeon's head.
